The model this follows
Jacaranda Health's PROMPTS reaches millions of Kenyan mothers by SMS, with AI triage escalating high-risk cases to human nurses. It works. There is no Ghanaian-language equivalent, and SMS still assumes reading.
How it would work
Voice-first over IVR and WhatsApp. Templated, clinically-approved content only — the model selects and speaks, it never composes medical advice.
Danger signs route immediately to a human. Escalation is the primary path, not the fallback.
Why it is last, not first
This is the highest-harm product in the family. It is deliberately gated behind a mature evaluation harness, a clinical content partner, a medical advisory board and templated-only responses.
We would rather build it slowly than be the reason someone did not go to a clinic.
This is a researched proposal, not a commitment. Nothing here has been validated with a paying customer yet.
